Decentralisation has brought a variety of opportunities which is testified by our joint work with the EU over great infrastructure projects. That is why the reform continuation is vital. It was claimed by Serhiy Sukhomlyn, Zhytomyr mayor, deputy Head of the Chamber of local authorities of the Congress of local and regional authorities of Ukraine during the VI-th Forum «Efficient local administration as a precondition of a democratic and law-governed state».

At the same time Zhytomyr mayor emphasized the necessity of introducing the mechanism of ensuring the legality of local self-government bodies’ decisions.
