Round table “Administrative-territorial set-up: new realities and rules”

“Decentralisation reform needs to go forward. Therefore, the Council of Europe welcomes the initiative on the draft law on administrative and territorial set-up (registration No. 4664). Within the current Constitution, it will enable continuation of a consolidated, protected and fine-tuned reform.”

This was stated by Head of Department of Democracy and Governance Daniel POPESCU on 20 September 2021 during a round table discussion “Administrative and territorial set-up: new realities and new rules”. The event was organised by the Parliamentary Committee on State Building, Local Governance, Regional and Urban Development in co-operation with the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development with the support of the Council of Europe Programme “Enhancing decentralisation and public administration reform in Ukraine” and the USAID Governance and Local Accountability (HOVERLA) Activity Project.
