Nine village councils in the northern part of the Korostyshiv Rayon created the Starosiletska AH. The oblast administration has already appealed to the Central Election Commission with a request to appoint the first elections in the newly formed hromada.

“These nine village councils form a powerful hromada with a population of 5,000 residents and an area of ​​over 262 km2. The economic potential of the AH is enormous, and after amalgamation, the newly elected government will have the resources and powers to develop it,” said Serhii Romanovych, decentralisation adviser of Zhytomyr Local Government Development Centre.
