On 26 October, the Chernivtsi Local Government Development Centre held a round table meeting on the topic of cooperation of amalgamated hromadas and the State Fiscal Service. The key issue is the very low tax payment culture of both natural persons and legal entities. Therefore, it is important to establish cooperation between local self-government bodies and the fiscal service in administering and collecting tax payments.

Another problem discussed during the round table was the staffing issue. In order to make the collection of local taxes and fees more efficient, State Fiscal Service bodies lack personnel due to the reorganisation.

Dmytro Prokopets, local finance adviser of the Chernivtsi LGDC, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, presented the key indicators of the draft law on State Budget for 2019, amounts of the main subventions that will be directed from the state budget in the context of each AH and the main changes in the budget legislation to be applied from the next year.
