The Shpolyanska AH, formed by amalgamation of the city of Shpola and the village of Krymky and which later became the village of Skotareve, will now also include the village of Kapustyne. Recently, there have been public hearings in the village, where people supported the initiative of village head Nataliya Kolisnyk and deputies of the village council.

“The process of voluntary amalgamation presupposes that people themselves decide on with whom to amalgamate,” notes Mykola Hulko, local finance adviser of the Cherkasy Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.

And now, when Kapustyne chose this way of development (and its deputies will support it at the village council session), positive changes are expected in the AH, since their own revenues will increase from the next year by at least 1.7 times at the expense of the personal income tax. According to preliminary calculations, they will receive the infrastructure subvention funds for the AH development in the amount of UAH 350 thousand.
