According to the Resolution, voted for by 238 people’s deputies on Friday, the Verkhovna Rada reduced the number of rayons in Ukraine and increased their sizes significantly. Instead of old 490 rayons now there will be 136 ones (17 of them being located in the annexed Crimea and Donbas territories, being beyond the control of Kyiv).
Hromadske Radio (Public Radio) has talked about new rayons with Ivan Lukerya, councilor of the Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.
