At the end of March U-LEAD with Europe Programme with the support of the EU and its member states Germany, Sweden, Denmark, Poland and Estonia started cooperation with the International Charity Foundation Caritas Ukraine to assist AHs in coping with COVID-19 impact.
The Programme procured and started delivery of 1900 protective kits containing medical masks, hand and surface disinfectants, protective gowns, contactless thermometers, protective glasses, and respirators to over 900 rural amalgamated hromadas and AHs of small cities to support their healthcare workers in this difficult time.
The initiative also aims at supporting local business development through engaging capacities of the 11 regional manufacturers producing over 300 000 face masks for over 300 municipalities.
