Endless repairs the AH heads often boast of can hardly be called investments able to save towns and villages suffering from the demographic crisis. They can be saved only by creating workplaces, and this is usually what the AH leaders do not know how to deal with. And instead of specific plans for territory development they often relish the fantasies of investors’ arrival, who should all of a sudden start constructing huge factories in their hromadas. The Hnizhdychivska AH of the Lviv Oblast deliberately abandoned such grand plans, putting a stake on a small investor. And this stake brought success: in February 2017, a small sewing unit, that employed six people, appeared in the hromada. In course of two years, the number of unit employees tripled, and by the end of this year it is planned to increase the number of jobs to 30. Over a period of its existence, the sewing unit paid UAH 240 thousand to the hromada budget.
