Smart Specialisation tools will be used for regional development in Ukraine

Experts of the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission (DG JRC) are now having a visit to Ukraine as part of the project for the application of Smart Specialisation tools for Ukrainian regions. This a joint project of Ukraine and the EU scheduled for several years and aimed to support Ukraine in the implementation and adaptation of the Smart Specialisation – principle used in the EU countries for capacity development at the regional level.

At the current stage, experts from the EU are finalising data analysis for three oblasts: Kharkiv, Odesa and Zaporizhzhya.

The experts’ task is to train regional coordination teams.
