Parliament can make next step to support hromadas, - Prime Minister at the opening of Parliament's new session

Any political interest can not be higher than the interests of citizens and the state, and any decisions that will be taken in the coming months must be in line with the principles of openness and truthfulness. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman made this statement while delivering a speech at the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the occasion of the opening of a new parliamentary session.

“The new session encompasses new opportunities and new challenges. I want to thank for the fruitful previous sessions when we were able to find an understanding and make a decision. This session is incredibly important in a view of the pre-election period. The election campaign will certainly have an impact on the quality of decision-making and life of the country. But any political interest can not be higher than the interests of citizens and the state”, stated Volodymyr Groysman.

He also mentioned threats to the further progress of decentralisation. “The Parliament should respond to the demand for further improvement of the legislation and give a new breath to the reform”, said Volodymyr Groysman.
