Swedish decentralisation support and investment opportunities programmes were discussed during Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Martin Hagström’s, , visit to the Rivne Oblast.

The Ambassador stressed the importance of decentralisation for Ukraine and explained the support to this reform provided by Sweden.

“Sweden is a very decentralised country. We have implemented reforms in all sectors. All taxes paid by us are left on the ground. We see that there are similar changes in your country. Of course, there are certain challenges, but it is noticeable that the mentality of Ukrainians is changing along with the life. That is why Sweden will continue supporting the implementation of the reforms by the U-LEAD with Europe Programme,” emphasised the Ambassador.
