The decision on approval of the minimal value of projects being implemented at the expense of the State Fund for Regional Development (SFRD) – UAH 5 million for the construction and UAH 1 million for other projects – has been recently made. “The SFRD should support hromada development projects, and not finance repairs. This will allow to implement large-scale regional development projects that will comprehensively address the issues of territories,” said Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services.
At the same time, hromadas already have an instrument that can help with the implementation of large-scale initiatives – this is an intermunicipal cooperation. This issue was the main topic of the training, organised by the Chernivtsi Local Government Development Centre on 30 July.
The training involved participants from 11 AHs of the oblast.
Viktoria Cheban, legal adviser of the Chernivtsi LGDC, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion, provided information on the types of IMC agreements and legislative procedure for their conclusion. The participants performed practical exercises with the aim of concluding cooperation agreements.
