On 29 January 2018, mayor Anatoliy Dushko signed the Memorandum on cooperation between the Baranivska amalgamated hromada and the Ukrainian Association of Young Farmers. According to this document, joint work is planned regarding inverstors’ search, agriculture development, use of advanced technologies, youth education, exchange of experience, etc.

Peter Larsen, representative of the group of Danish investors, informed about his country’s interest in sorghum cultivation in Ukraine. As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the cultivation of organic sorghum on the experimental field of the Zhytomyr National Agroecological University. If this culture will show good results within our weather conditions, the Danes intend to grow sorghum on the fields of the Baranivska hromada. Danish investors are also interested in raising horseradish.

During the round table discussion, the mechanisms of cooperation of the Ukrainian Association of Young Farmers, Zhytomyr National Agroecological University, Regional Development Agency of the Zhytomyr Oblast and the Baranivska urban amalgamated hromada in the implementation of projects involving foreign investment, including those related to organic farming, were identified.
