Ukraine and the Council of Europe Development Bank (CEB) plan to sign a new agreement by the end of November for EUR 80 million in housing vouchers for internally displaced persons from the temporarily occupied territories. The first EUR 40 million is due to be received by the end of the year. The total amount is approximately UAH 4 billion.

This was announced by Vitalii Bezgin, Minister for Communities, Territories and Internally Displaced Persons, after a meeting with Carlo Monticelli, the Governor of the CEB.

The Minister said that the first EUR 200 million from the HOME programme had enabled more than 15,700 people to purchase homes. In total, the Council of Europe Development Bank has channelled over EUR 800 million in social investments into Ukraine. At the same time, the need for housing for people who have fled dangerous areas is growing as their homes are destroyed.

The CEB will also join the Coalition of Partners for Social Housing Development. It is planned to be launched during a conference in Warsaw.

Vitalii Bezgin stated that Ukraine plans to expand its cooperation with the CEB to support people who have lost their homes due to the war.
