We have excellent news! We received 112 applications from communities and had planned to select 50 winners. However, having seen the scale of the ideas and the results achieved by the participating communities during the national pilot project, we realised that we simply could not limit ourselves to this number!

After dozens of meetings with community teams, weeks of discussions, hundreds of videos watched, and several thousand photos reviewed, the decision was made – 52 communities will receive support from DECIDE Project!

These communities will begin setting up career guidance hubs in their local educational institutions this year.

During the first year of the national pilot project, the communities worked hard to ensure that career guidance for children and teenagers was effective and systematic. In particular, they:

established partnerships with local businesses and employers;

organised career guidance excursions to enterprises;

ran classes on the optional JOBS course for students in Grades 8-9;

introduced children and teenagers to professions and opportunities in their communities.

While preparing the application, they engaged with business representatives and employers to develop a vision for a careers guidance hub tailored to their community.

As a result, we received very different concepts, but they all share a common basis: a partnership between the education sector, the authorities and the business community, and an understanding of how a careers guidance hub can strengthen the careers guidance system in the community.

After all, a careers guidance hub is not just a smart-looking space with equipment. It is a place where children and teenagers can explore the world of professions, discover themselves, talk to employers, gain practical experience, and see different opportunities, so that they can make conscious choices about their future educational and professional paths.

We therefore warmly congratulate the 52 winning communities!

Ahead is the implementation of our plans and even more opportunities for children and teenagers!
