The Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration has launched a long-term partnership with the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. A Memorandum of Cooperation was signed by Nataliia Zabolotna, Head of the Regional Military Administration, and Alexander Schweitzer, Minister-President of the state.
Signing of the document opens up new opportunities for the region, particularly in terms of attracting investment and introducing European practices. It will also facilitate the implementation of joint projects, which will directly impact the development of communities in Vinnytsia region.
‘At the instruction of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, we are collaborating with the team in the Vinnytsia region to strengthen international ties and attract European support. We have a lot in common with the state of Rhineland-Palatinate. Our cooperation will cover various areas, including energy, the economy, agriculture, healthcare, education, culture, humanitarian assistance and security,’ emphasised Nataliia Zabolotna.
The partnership is based on shared democratic values – freedom, equality and solidarity – which Ukraine is courageously defending in its struggle against the aggressor.
During the visit, the parties have already taken the first practical steps that will have a direct impact on the quality of life in communities:
‘There is much joint work ahead of us, which will strengthen the resilience of our communities during the war and lay the foundations for a modern, strong European recovery. Ukraine has chosen the European path, and despite all the challenges, we are moving forward. I am grateful to our German partners for their openness, trust, and genuine commitment to supporting our people,’ concluded the Head of the Regional State Administration.
This example of interregional cooperation illustrates the effectiveness of Ukraine’s European integration strategy at the local level.
