eRestoration programme: New opportunities and solutions to speed up compensation

Almost 121,000 families in Ukraine have already taken advantage of the state programme eRestoration (eVidnovlennia). The total compensation awarded amounted to approximately UAH 35 billion.

‘Our task is clear: no one who has lost their home should be left without assistance. Every application must be monitored, and people must know exactly when and how they will receive support,’ emphasised Oleksii Kuleba, Deputy Prime Minister for Restoration – Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

Programme results

A total of 108,000 families have received compensation to repair damaged housing, including apartments and houses.

A further 22,800 families have used housing certificates to purchase new homes in place of those that were destroyed. These certificates have a total value of over UAH 33 billion.

New solutions to improve the programme

Further steps were discussed at a meeting with community and regional representatives:

  • strengthening the mechanism for remote surveys using drones and satellite imagery.

‘I am grateful to the communities for their fruitful dialogue and practical suggestions. Thanks to this collaboration, we are enhancing eRestoration, making it fairer and easier for people to understand,’ said Oleksii Kuleba.
