The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has sent draft Law On Local Self-Government Bodies Service for the Parliament to consider. The document № 6504, developed by the National Agency of Ukraine on Public Service, was registered on January, 5, 2022.
The bill being passed, the local self-government service will finally get in sync with Law of Ukraine On Public Service.
The Ministry of Communities and Territories of Ukraine, being the key one in fulfilling the tasks of local self-government and power territorial arrangement reform, characterized the bill On Local Self-Government Bodies Service as an extremely significant for the local self-government professional staff development.
«A radical reform of local self-government and decentralization demand quality staff locally – professional, motivated, capable of working efficiently to develop municipalities. Local self-government is tired of waiting. We are happy for the bill to be in the Parliament. The MinRegion will get involved in its consideration by the line Committee together with other interested parties for the Parliament to approve of the standards, needed by local self-government officials», - commented Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Vyacheslav Nehoda.
