Today the Ministry of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine has announced winners of the 2020 Best Practices of Local Self-Government contest, having been held by the MinRegion in partnership with the Council of Europe Decentralisation and the Local Self-Government Reform in Ukraine Programme for the seventh year in a row.
«Today we have awarded 33 local self-government bodies, not only implementing up-to-date projects on their territory, but also comprehending how important it is to share experience with colleagues for the whole country to become successful… The majority of the winners are AHs. And it is not a surprise as AHs has experienced most changes lately, resulting in people understanding the significance of each project, each decision, knowing the value of the least experience to be used in their own hromada. Next year, with all the hromadas enjoying equal opportunities and resources, this year winners’ experience and the best practices of the previous years will be in a great demand. Thus, we have to publicise the projects and make them accessible for everyone», - claimed Vyacheslav Nehoda, Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine during the ceremony of awarding the winners.
