UNDP and Norway are putting heads together in Ukraine in support of women participation in the local self-government

The partners have signed an agreement on cooperation, aimed at promoting gender-targeted policies in the local self-government activity within decentralisation.

On August, 3 UNDP Ukraine signed an agreement on cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway within the project, aimed at expanding women representation and participation in the local self-government activity of AHs in Ukraine during decentralisation.

Within the project, the budget of which is approximately USA$ 100 000, UNDP and Norway will cooperate for the purpose of facilitating a wider political women participation in the local self-government activity of Ukraine, as well as enhancing AH institutional capability of approving of decisions, taking into account gender-sensitive issues.
