How will hromadas and rayons be reorganised: the Government has approved the bill

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has approved bill On Amending some Enactments of Ukraine on Regulating Certain Issues of the State Power, Local Self-Government Activity and Organisation, Related to Rayons Formation (Liquidation).

«In the coming weeks the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is expected to pass the resolutions on new rayons formation in Ukraine, approved by the Government today. Immediately after that it is necessary to regulate the reorganization of the executive power local bodies and local self-government following the existing rayons liquidation and new rayons formation, the issues of legal succession of the municipal and state property, budget resources, rights and other liabilities. Reform participants must get answers to all these questions before the local elections. Thus, involving experts, the MinRegion has developed a corresponding bill, approved by the Government today. The Parliament is expected to pass the bill in autumn at the latest», - commented the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Vyacheslav Nehoda.
