New rayons formation and old rayons liquidation: what will happen to district councils?
District councils are envisaged by the incumbent Constitution of Ukraine, so they will also function at the new rayon level. Another variant is possible only after the appropriate amendments to the Fundamental Law are made.
It was claimed by the Deputy Minister of Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Vyacheslav Nehoda, commenting the Government’s approval of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine resolution On Rayons Formation and Liquidation.
