We propose to enshrine the AH status in small cities by law, - Volodymyr Groysman

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman initiates the drafting of the law that will enable the small cities and cities of rayon significance to have the fixed status of amalgamated hromadas and, as a result, to get all the opportunities for the AH development that capable hromadas possess. This primarily concerns financial resources and administrative powers. The Head of Government said this at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.

"There is a need to support small cities – rayon centres and cities of rayon significance that do not have the essential support they need. We initiate a law that will enable small cities to get the status of amalgamated hromadas. This will give them independence from rayons and will provide an opportunity to start solving problems of people before the final stage of amalgamation,” said Volodymyr Groysman.

At the same time, he commissioned MinRegion to work out mechanisms for targeted support of small cities and cities of rayon significance.
