The Verkhovna Rada adopted a resolution "On Changes in the Administrative and Territorial Structure of the Lviv Oblast, the Change and Establishment of the Boundaries of the Sokal Rayon of the Lviv Oblast". 233 MPs voted for the resolution.
The regulation considers the city of Sosnivka and the village of Hirnyk of the Chervonohrad city council as a category of cities of rayon significance of the Sokal Rayon and changes the boundaries of the Sokal Rayon of the Lviv Oblast, increasing its territory by 318.0 hectares of land by transferring 120 hectares of the Hirmyk Village Council of Chervonohrad and 198.0 hectares of Sosnivka city council of Chervonohrad.
