The improved Vinnytsia Oblast’s hromadas amalgamation plan will enable functioning of larger, more capable AHs, and will improve the quality of service delivery to local population.
This idea was emphasised by Andriy Hyzhko, First Deputy Head of the Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration, at the press conference on the topic “The future of hromadas. Why does Vinnytsia Oblast need a qualitative perspective plan?”, organised by the Vinnytsia Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion.
Mr Hyzhko stressed that the principle of voluntariness remains basic in the process AH formation. At the same time, it is more reasonable to form economically strong and capable hromadas that will confidently fulfill new powers. A perspective plan of the oblast with the latest changes in AHs’ configurations was presented at the meeting of the working group of the Vinnytsia Oblast State Administration and recommended by the specialised commission of the Vinnytsia Oblast Council for consideration at the regular session of the oblast council to be held in March.
