The Government annually increases state support for hromada development and infrastructure improvement. This year it reaches over UAH 37.8 billion. These funds were directed in the first place to repair schools and kindergartens, hospitals, construction of boiler-houses and sports grounds, as well as to healthcare development in rural areas, support of farmers in the regions, energy efficiency.
This year in the Government has financed dozens of socially important projects in the Luhansk Oblast. In particular, it has allocated funds to the Luhansk Oblast Children's Clinical Hospital, where renovated planned surgery, emergency surgery and endoscopy departments were opened, for viaduct on Pokrovsk-Bakhmut-Mykhailivka highways, repair of the Polovynkyne secondary school of I-III degrees, restoration of the material and technical base of the Luhansk National University and its upcoming major repairs including thermo-modernisation, for the construction of a high pressure gas pipeline from "Myrna Dolyna” (Pidlisne village) to the regulatory units in the settlement of Toshkivka, for the construction of substations in Kreminna to provide reliable electricity supply to consumers in the region, for the construction of a radio and television station in Popasna Rayon, which will allow the restoration of broadcasting of 15 Ukrainian TV channels within the 60-kilometre zone, for the overhaul of the Luhansk Oblast AIDS Centre, for the reconstruction of two Bilohorivka main water conduits, which will significantly improve the water supply of the population of the central and northern parts of Lysychansk, and other projects in the oblast.
A cardio centre, equipped with a modern angiograph, will be opened next year in Syevyerodonetsk. This equipment will save the lives of thousands of people, who suffer from cardiovascular diseases.
This year the Government is financing repairs of more than 3 500 km of Ukrainian roads. Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman has repeatedly stated that high-quality repair of Ukrainian roads is one of the Government’s priorities. For 10 years, construction, overhaul and reconstruction of roads were almost non-existent in the country. Starting from 2016, the financing of the road sector has been increased year by year. "This is part of our strategy implementation: to connect all oblast centres of Ukraine in five years. I emphasise: Ukrainians have the right to ride and will eventually ride along good roads,” said Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman.
In total, this year the state has allocated nearly UAH 225 million to renovate 19.7 km of roads in the Luhansk Oblast.
The task set by the Government is to connect all oblast centres with high-quality roads in five years.
