Today, the 14th meeting of the Ukrainian-Slovak Intergovernmental Commission on Cross-Border Cooperation has been concluded in Uzhgorod of the Zakarpattia Oblast.
The minutes of the meeting were signed by Vyacheslav Nehoda, First Deputy Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, and Rudolf Urbanovich, State Secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Slovak Republic.
“With this document we have testified further cooperation of our countries in the development and arrangement of checkpoints across the Ukrainian-Slovak border, in the creation and development of border infrastructure, environmental protection, tourism development and prevention of emergencies. These agreements create new opportunities for the development of border areas and hromadas,” commented Vyacheslav Nehoda.
