“Decentralisation – Transformation of Modern Ukraine”. A large-scale forum devoted to the local self-government reform will take place in the Oblast State Administration. Within two days, its participants will discuss the decentralisation success, share experience and reflect on further steps. Everyone wishing to attend is kindly invited to participate.

“Decentralisation is a reform that has changed Ukraine. The Dnipropetrovsk Oblast has experienced these changes. The additional financial resource, remaining on the ground, investors' attention and initiative of hromadas’ residents have already yielded results. New kindergartens and hospitals have appeared, schools - reconstructed, roads - completely renovated, and the ASCs - opened in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The oblast associations have gained experience they are willing to share, and are ready to learn from others in order to achieve even greater success. The decentralisation forum will help in this,” said Valentyn Reznichenko, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration.

The forum “Decentralisation – Transformation of Modern Ukraine” will be held on 26-27 October. The first day will be dedicated to the achievements of decentralisation and its prospects. The second will concern regional peculiarities of the reform, introduction of energy-efficient technologies, development strategies, grant programmes.

Participants of the forum are the heads of AHs, deputies, activists, volunteers, village heads and the active residents of the villages that have not yet amalgamated into an AH, city mayors and heads of rayon councils. The meeting is open to all interested in decentralisation.
