It is now important to show the standards of quality healthcare in rural areas. We are talking about the construction of 512 new outpatient clinics. Their number varies in terms of regions, mostly, in the Khmelnytskyi Oblast – 27, Lviv Oblast – 47, and in some oblasts – 25-30 projects, said Hennadii Zubko, Vice Prime Minister – Minister of Regional Development, Construction, Housing and Communal Services of Ukraine, on the air of the 5^th Channel.

“MinRegion has already introduced a weekly monitoring of the state of implementation of outpatient clinics’ construction projects. Construction of 38 facilities has already begun. The most active projects are implemented in the Dnipropetrovsk, Kharkiv, Volyn and Kirovohrad Oblasts. It is important for us to demonstrate that all regions are on an equal footing both in terms of financing and simultaneous launch of projects. But someone started to move actively – to find land plots, sign agreements with designers and work performers, and someone still cannot define the land for rural health post or an outpatient clinic,” said Hennadii Zubko.

The official stressed that technical requirements, developed by Minregion, do not indicate the type of structures and building materials to be used to build a new outpatient clinic. They are specified by the local authorities. “The technical requirements, first of all, outline the specifications of premises, engineering systems, equipment. For us, the main thing is to put it into an estimated cost – about UAH 25 thousand per square metre. These are not just bare walls, it’s a one-storey building with autonomous heating, water supply, modern medical equipment, furniture, landscaping and conditioning,” noted Hennadii Zubko.

It should be mentioned that MinRegion’s order approved the financing of 512 outpatient clinic construction projects for a total amount of UAH 2.7 billion in all oblasts of Ukraine. In particular, outpatient clinic of monopractice (1-2 doctors), without housing – 155 facilities for a total amount of UAH 649.9 million; outpatient clinic of monopractice (1-2 doctors), with housing – 152 facilities for the total amount of UAH 873.0 million; outpatient clinic of group practice (3-4 doctors) – 188 facilities for the total amount of UAH 1 033.4 million; Primary Healthcare Centre (5-7 doctors) – 17 facilities for the total amount UAH 124.8 million.
