Services of civil status acts registration are essential for citizens and are most urgent for integration into the Administrative Service Centres (ASCs).

Registration of a child’s birth, marriage, are “connected” with other administrative services, in particular with registration of the place of residence, receipt / change of passport documents, state assistance, etc. Therefore, the complex provision of administrative services on models of life situations begins and depends on the services provided at civil status acts registration centres.

On 29 August 2018, the Ministry of Justice issued the Order No. 2825/5 “On Approval of Amendments to Certain Regulatory Acts in the Field of State Registration of Civil Status Acts”. The order specifies that virtually all civil status acts registration services can be provided through the ASCs, in particular, state registration of birth, marriage, divorce (by the joint application of spouses who have no children), change of name, making changes to civil status records, their renewal and cancellation, notification. It is important that the established procedure opens up the possibility of preserving the territorial accessibility to the civil status acts registration services in settlements – former rural hromadas that are now joining cities of oblast significance, therefore, it essentially brings services closer to citizens.
