The Ukrainian Legal Aid Foundation, with the support of the “Human Rights and Justice” programme of the International Renaissance Foundation, has announced a competition “Online services: safe hromada”.
Citizens spend a lot of time addressing state institutions and receiving responses to their requests, and, in some cases, do not get the necessary service at all. In addition, people often do not know what documents they need for request, they are not aware of the request filing procedures, contact persons, and services they can receive.
Very often, citizens try to obtain information an official does not possess on the one hand, and on the other – officials are forced to waste time responding to non-targeted appeals. Lack of prompt response to inquiries leads to reduction in the level of trust in the authorities, as well as to expenditures of budget funds for those services, that could work much more efficiently.
“To solve this problem, the Foundation proposes a solution – introduction of information terminals and a mobile application “Safe Hromada”, which will greatly simplify communication between citizens and employees of governmental institutions,” says project manager Serhina Tarnavska.
The device consists of a box and specially designed software. The terminal has basic functions that will be supplemented according to the needs of the winning hromada.
Acceleration and simplification of communication between authorities and local residents is possible by combining efforts and creation of an instrument – a mobile application “Safe Hromada”.
The winners will include 5 most motivated hromadas ready to implement the initiative. Fill in the online application form and join the “Safe Hromada” initiative: https://goo.gl/KZiBGa
Last day to file an application — 4 October 2018.
Announcement of results — 8 October 2018.
