On 23 August 2018, the Sumy Oblast State Administration issued a positive conclusion on the compliance of the draft decision, approved by the Obrazhiyivka village and Shostka city councils, which envisages voluntary accession of the Obrazhiyivka village hromada to the hromada of the Shostka city, in accordance with the laws and the Constitution of Ukraine.

This is the first conclusion in the Sumy Oblast, which makes it possible to form an AH on the basis of a city of oblast significance.

Shostka is one of seven cities of oblast significance of the Sumy Oblast, around which AHs should be formed.
