Within three days, female activists, employees of village, rayon, city councils, educational institutions will talk about women's involvement in the implementation of decentralisation, myths and gender stereotypes, women’s in society, legislative aspects of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, women's involvement in decision-making at the state and local levels.

The participants of the training came from 14 oblasts of Ukraine and are mainly representatives of newly formed amalgamated hromadas keen to develop and actively take over the experience of other AHs, in particular, the management experience of female leaders on the ground.
“With this training, we are opening a new DESPRO page, because we have not yet been involved in the topic of women leaders in our project,” said Oksana Harnets, head of the Swiss-Ukrainian project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO). “Women have all the necessary abilities to perform managerial functions. We hope that in this way we will be able to form an active female community that will attract as much women as possible to participate in local self-government.
