Great Britain is interested in decentralisation process in Sumy Oblast

This message was conveyed on May 15 by Lisa Thumwood, second secretary of the British Embassy in Ukraine, during a meeting with the employees of the Sumy Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion of Ukraine, as reported by Ukrinform.

"We are interested in the processes that take place in Ukraine as a whole, and in Sumy, in particular. Decentralisation is the way you need to go, and we are tracking what is happening on it. I learned today about the economic, political, and social situation in the region. In any case, you can count on our help, but, in fact, only you have to unite and complete this process," emphasised the diplomat.

In his turn, Oleksandr Khoruzhenko, head of the Sumy LGDC, noted that the oblast now occupies the 7th place in Ukraine according to the results of AH formation, nevertheless, this figure could be better.
