The Shakhivska hromada in the Donetsk Oblast was among the very first to amalgamate – the first elections took place here in the autumn of 2015. According to financial indicators of last year, a small village hromada took the fourth place in the nationwide hromada ranking based on the budget revenues per capita. It was the Shakhivska AH that was the first in the Donetsk Oblast to receive land outside its settlements.

To find out how the land transfer process is taking place, as well as to get acquainted with the main achievements of the hromada, the Donetsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, organised a regional media press tour to the Shakhivska AH.

In order to bring administrative and social services closer to people, the hromada is preparing to open the Administrative Service Centre. The Shahivska AH has also built and opened a safety centre in January 2017 at the expense of the oblast budget. A hub school opened in Shakhove at the beginning of March became the new pride of the village hromada. In order to improve birth rate and support young families, the implementation of the project "Healthy Child - Happy Mother" was launched here within the framework of the programme of socio-economic development of AH. If a baby is born in 2018, the young mother will receive a gift. An important condition is the birth registration of a child in the Shakhove village council. Taking advantage of innovative technologies, a hybrid power plant with a solar panel was launched in the Shakhovska AH in December 2017.
