The Bilozirska hromada is among the 39 AHs of Ukraine to enter the pilot project of the Ministry of Social Policy for the implementation of a model of administration of social services delivery for social support of the population in the AH.
“During our visits to the hromada, we often hear complaints from citizens about the complexity of receiving social payments,” says Serhiy Slynko, director of the Cherkasy Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion. “People submit their documents in their hromadas and wait for months, until they are processed in the rayon. Those who want their documents processed more quickly, have to go to the rayon centre on their own. At the moment, we have a unique pilot project in the Cherkasy Oblast enabling the employees in the Yerkivska and Bilozirska hromadas to insert data in the relevant database.”
