Doctors look for better earnings in private clinics and go abroad on a massive scale. The Vapnyarska settlement amalgamated hromada adopted the Local Incentives Programme, providing housing for young specialists and a monthly salary supplement within UAH 7 thousand, informed Oleksandr Horenyuk, head of the Vapnyarska AH, to Vinnytsia.info.

“In order to attract young specialists, especially to healthcare institutions, we approved the Local Incentives Programme in the autumn of 2017. On the basis of this document, a young doctor receives a monthly salary supplement in the amount of up to UAH 7 thousand. The condition is that a young specialist signs an agreement on cooperation with the hromada with duration of up to 10 years. The specialist is immediately provided with free housing, and after 10 years of work, he/she can register this housing as private ownership. At the moment, we have submitted a proposal to the Department of Health. We are currently preparing a letter to the principal of the Vinnytsia Medical University to direct young specialists to us,” said Oleksandr Horenyuk.

According to the head, 6 apartments on the territory of the military town are planned to be transferred to the settlement council’s ownership in order to provide housing for specialists. Though doctors are welcomed already today, and their housing will be rented by the settlement council.
