“Apple Cluster” to appear in Vinnytsya Oblast

The Vinnytsia Oblast plans to implement the “Apple Cluster” project in the course of 2 years.

The cluster will be created in the Barska and Severynivska amalgamated hromadas.

The European Union will grant the project with UAH 17 million, won in the competition among over 300 submitted projects.

“Apple Way” is a project of using the regional brand “Podilske yabluko” (“Podillya Apple”) for the development of hromadas, due to the promotion of both the territories associated with the cultivation of apples and local products made of these apples. In particular, it is about organising various brand festivals, creation and advertising of “apple-related” tourist sites, tourist routes, etc.

As Yuriy Voitsitskyi, regional development expert of the Vinnytsia Local Government Development Centre, explained, it is also important to promote the development of a small-scale product processing industry on the ground.
