DESPRO and hromadas of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast: cooperation continues

“DESPRO has been working in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast since 2013, and I have to say that this oblast has always responded to the cooperation proposals. The Dnipropetrovsk Oblast is very dynamic and the current state of implementation of the reform in the oblast proves this,” said Oksana Harnets, head of the Swiss-Ukrainian Project “Decentralisation Support in Ukraine” (DESPRO), during the working meeting at Dnipropetrovsk Oblast State Administration.

During the third phase of the DESPRO project in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, 11 sewage and water supply projects were implemented in villages and small towns. The total cost of these projects amounts to UAH 23.6 million, of which DESPRO’s contribution is UAH 7.7 million, the contribution of the oblast and local budgets is UAH 13 million, and installments of the population amount to UAH 2.9 million.

Due to these projects, 97.2 km of water pipelines, 6 water towers, and 5 wells were constructed on the territory of the oblast. 3094 households with a population of 8294 residents were connected to the network of high-quality potable water supply.
