In December 2017, the President of Ukraine signed the law that launched the healthcare reform. Hromadas are faced with emerging issues that do not always have ready answers.
To resolve one of them, Svitlana Spazheva, head of the Pokrovska AH, initiated a working meeting with the leadership of the rayon state administration and rayon council, medical specialists of the rayon, heads of village and rural settlement councils on 17 January 2018. The meeting was also attended by Roman Storozhenko, representative of the Health Department of the Oblast State Administration, Olena Tertyshna, director of the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion of Ukraine, as well as Olena Hladka, municipal services adviser.
The relevant issue of primary healthcare network formation and transfer of healthcare institutions to the balance of the Pokrovska AH not only as an integral property complex, but as an operating system – with preservation of highly valued personnel and quality of services – was discussed. Such changes open the opportunity to bring healthcare services to a qualitatively new level.
At the expense of the healthcare subvention, existing healthcare institutions will be upgraded and repaired, as well as new modern outpatient clinics, the projects of which have already been prepared by the specialists of the Pokrovska AH, will be constructed. The doors of a new modern outpatient clinic, the hromada is currently lacking so much, will soon open for those who are in need of medical assistance!
