This became known during the business lunch “Decentralisation in the Cherkasy Oblast: results of 2017 and prospects of 2018”, organised by the Cherkasy Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme and MinRegion. During the business lunch the prospects and dynamics of decentralisation in Cherkasy Oblast and its achievements were discussed.
According to Serhiy Slynko, director of the Cherkasy LGDC, the Cherkasy Oblast has every chance to become a leading oblast of Ukraine in terms of the dynamics of new hromadas’ formation. LGDC advisers – experts in decentralization, finance, law, and communications – provide constant support to the established hromadas and facilitate the process of their formation, helping to address hromadas’ amalgamation and development issues.
