Amalgamated hromadas of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast are maximally ready to work in difficult winter weather conditions

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Centre, severe weather conditions are expected in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in the nearest future. The Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre inquired whether amalgamated hromadas of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast are ready to counter the weather in the settlements they comprise.

Olena Tertyshna, Director of the Dnipropetrovsk Local Government Development Centre, established with the support of the U-LEAD with Europe Programme, conducted a press conference on “Readiness of AHs to react against the force of nature” on 16 January 2018 at the IA “MOST_DNEPR” information agency.

According to her, the hromadas of the oblast are maximally ready to work in difficult weather conditions.

All hromadas of the oblast have developed annual plans of measures for the prevention of man-made and natural emergencies during the autumn-winter period of 2017/18. In addition to the systematic approach to the description of measures for the elimination of possible natural disasters, a database of contacts of responsible persons and the timing of implementation of certain measures are created. Besides, public awareness-raising activities on the rules of safe conduct in winter period are carried out through the mass media.
