The first amalgamated hromada was established in the Uman Rayon: eight villages - Palanka, Kocherzhyntsi, Hromy, Berestivets, Horodetske, Tomashivka, Kochubiyivka and Maksymivka – decided to join efforts for successful socio-economic development. Palanka became the centre of the newly formed territorial council, the head and 26 deputies of the hromada were elected. Elections, ballots, votes’ counting were in line with the established order, the changes are significant and will be included in the history of local self-government of the region.
