Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories has completed the selection of communities to participate in the international Ukraine Recovery Conference 2026 (URC-2026), which will be held in Gdańsk, Poland, on 25–26 June 2026.
In total, 356 applications were received from communities from all over Ukraine. Following the evaluation, 102 communities were selected.
The selection was based on a scoring system covering five key areas: experience of international cooperation, the quality of strategic planning, and the application of a territory-oriented approach. The level of investment readiness, anti-corruption activities, and community participation in the ‘Shoulder to Shoulder: Cohesive Communities’ project or other forms of inter-municipal cooperation were also taken into account.
The Conference traditionnally focuses on practical outcomes, such as the conclusion of international agreements, the securing of funding, the announcement of new partnerships, and the launch of joint initiatives.
Participation in URC-2026 will therefore provide communities with an opportunity to establish direct contacts with international financial organisations and donors, and to forge new partnerships for the sustainable development of their territories.
The list of selected communities is attached.
For reference: Ukraine Recovery Conference will bring together a wide range of participants, including heads of state and government, members of national parliaments, international organisations, financial institutions, business leaders, local governments, and civil society organisations. The aim of URC-2026 is to strengthen international support for the recovery of Ukraine and to stimulate investment in Ukrainian business. The event will focus on the sectors most affected by russian aggression: energy, critical infrastructure, and logistics.
