The Ministry for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine and Alinea International Ltd. have signed a Memorandum of Cooperation within the framework of the Recovery For All (RFA) project.

The aim is to strengthen the Ministry’s capacity to develop and implement regional recovery and development policies based on digital solutions, evidence, and the best European practices.

The Memorandum provides for:

• expert support in the development of sectoral strategies and strategic planning documents for state regional policy;
• digitalisation of planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes through the ProjectUA system;
• coordination of strategic documents at all levels;
• integrating barrier-free principles into regional policies and strategic documents and supporting the implementation and monitoring of the National Barrier-Free Strategy;
• strengthening the institutional capacity of the Ministry for Development in the context of state regional policy, barrier-free policy, and the development of sectoral solutions.

‘Signing this Memorandum is an important step towards creating a modern system of state regional policy in Ukraine that considers the needs and unique features of regions and communities, aligns with European approaches, and promotes the sustainable, barrier-free development of our territories,’ said Oleksii Riabykin, Deputy Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine.

Cooperation with the RFA will facilitate the implementation of inclusive, gender-sensitive, and sustainable state regional policy, as well as improve public investment management at all levels.
