The memorandum on twinning was signed in the presence of the Ambassador of Ukraine to France Vadym Omelchenko and members of the French Senate by Valeriy Marchenko, Head of the Izyum City Military Administration, and Jean-Pierre Barnaud, Mayor of Chennevières-sur-Marne.

The parties agreed on comprehensive cooperation between the cities.
Particular attention was paid to the charity project for the reconstruction of Our Lady on the Sand Hospital in Izyum, which is being implemented under the auspices of the Foundation of the First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska.
The French parliamentarians assured of France’s support for Ukraine and the provision of assistance to restore the destroyed social and housing infrastructure, in particular in Izyum.
The participants of the International Summit of Cities and Regions, held in Kyiv on April 20 and attended by municipalities from over 50 countries, declared their readiness to work together to help build a peaceful, democratic and prosperous future, to contribute to the establishment of a comprehensive, fair and sustainable peace in Ukraine for ensuring international security and stability of the whole world.
