Deputies of the Bucha City Council at an extraordinary session on October 25 unanimously supported draft decisions on the approval of the Agreement on Cooperation and Partnership between the city of Bucha and the cities of Kavadarci (Republic of North Macedonia) and Avranches (Republic of France).

This was announced by Bucha City Mayor Anatoliy Fedoruk.

He noted that negotiations have already been held with the mayors of European cities, directions of cooperation in various fields have been discussed.

In August 2022 the city of Bucha concluded an agreement on cooperation with the German city of Bergisch-Gladbach.

In June 2022, Bucha city signed a Sisterhood Pact with the Italian municipality of Bergamo.

In March, the Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine initiated the  International Marathon of Local Self-Government, aimed at drawing the attention of the world's municipalities to the tragedy of Ukrainian municipalities and intensifying the process of establishing sisterly relations.
