Brotherhood with Russian cities plays into the hands of Russia. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy during a speech at the US Conference of Mayors.

According to him, dozens of American cities maintain the so-called “brotherhood” ties with Russian cities. For example, Chicago and Moscow, Jacksonville and Murmansk, San Diego and Vladivostok, San Jose and Ekaterinburg.

“What do these connections give you? Probably nothing. But they give Russia the opportunity to say that it is not isolated, even after beginning such a war,” said the President of Ukraine.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy reminded that the Russian Federation has fired more than 2,500 missiles in Ukraine since the full-scale invasion, most of which hit the municipal infrastructure.
