The V All-Ukrainian conference «Municipal reform within European integration of Ukraine» was held on December, 10, in Kyiv. The event participants were higher educational establishment teachers and post-graduate students, researchers, representatives of government agencies and local self-government, public and trade union activists. The event was organized by the Academy of Labour, Social Relations and Tourism, the Association of Ukrainian Cities with support of the HOVERLA USAID Project.

Andriy Klochko, the head of the Committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on the public authorities organization, local self-government, regional and urban development, emphasized in his welcome address on behalf of Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Head of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine:

«Among a set of important issues of the municipal reform, being worked over by the parliament, there are draft amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine in terms of decentralization. The professional scientific discussion is sure to contribute to the measures, aimed at achieving the decentralization objective».
