On November, 25, the PROSTO Swedish-Ukrainian project and the Association of Municipalities signed the memorandum on cooperation for the sake of improving the quality of public services, delivered to municipality residents of Ukraine during the Forum of the new local self-government «5 years of defending municipalities» on the occasion of the fifth anniversary of the all-Ukrainian Association of Municipalities.
«We are happy about the partnership with the PROSTO project and are sure that municipalities feel the positive impact of our collaboration. We are united in our political priorities and support of the further decentralization in the sphere of public services, extremely important for municipality inhabitants», – emphasized Oleksandr Korinnyi, the head of the board of the Association of Municipalities, Novoukrainka mayor.
«Association members have always been decentralization pioneers, setting a benchmark to establish municipalities all over Ukraine. Due to your support municipalities are getting more transparent and comfortable for living and business, as well as gender-oriented. It makes it possible to establish residents’ trust for the authorities and their services. We welcome all these local changes», – commented Olha Hlazunova, the head of PROSTO in Ukraine.
